Cannabis will be legal in Canada tomorrow. That's big.
At the same time, new laws governing the advertising of that product are also dropping tomorrow and they're tougher than tobacco or alcohol.
No event sponsorship, no TV ads, no radio, no newspaper, no product shots... anything that a minor might see will be banned.
Most of all both in the US and Canada ... NO HEALTH CLAIMS.
This is difficult since unlike tobacco and alcohol, there are actually a lot of health benefits and medical cannabis has been legal for a lot longer than recreational cannabis has.
There is a solution however. Social media and user reviews.
A licensed producer can't make health claims, but their clients / patients can.
This is why we developed CannabisCur.es which is a white label version of our Stories.re platform.
We can also brand and customize the codes for specific brands to customize them further as such. Click either of the codes to see their landing pages (if you don't want to scan them with your phone (or if you're on your phone now :).
Simply put, it's an easy way to promote and collect video reviews with a link from your product literature or label to a landing page specific to your product.
Are you a cannabis company? Someone with an opinion that differs?
I'd love to hear your comments below on what you think of the idea.
